Patacharu must go on! Urushu seeks plants with magical properties that could help maintain the eternal flame during cold or damp days.
Quest Trigger
- Talking to Urushu when you reach 3 hearts with him.
Quest Location
- Urushu can most often be found at the City Hall, upstairs in the Museum.
- Lower City at the Takulu monument.
Quest Overview
- Bring a flower, herb, mushroom, or vegetable with fire essence to Urushu.
- Let Urushu do some fire essence plant tests and come back tomorrow.
- Bring a flower, herb, mushroom or vegetable with volcano essence to Urushu.
- Let Urushu do some volcano essence plant tests and come back tomorrow.
- Bring a flower, herb, mushroom or vegetable with sun essence to Urushu.
- Meet at 10:00AM under the Takulu monument int he lower town the next day.
- Some people experience difficulty triggering the quest if they arrive too early. You can usually fix this by entering a building or moving a distance away from the event.

Quest Walkthrough
When you talk to Urushu, he goes into a little history lesson about Patacharu, Uchta, and the Eternal Flame of Takulu, the Guardian. He tells how the souls of the community are connected and that if the flame at the Takulu monument goes out it will be very bad because everyone's Utcha flames draw from it. He is seeking a way to magically enhance the flame so it will not go out even on the rainiest of days. He had learned from the previous witch, Dhalia, about essences. He thinks that using one of them might help sustain the flame. The two of you decide to start with a plant with the essence of fire. You instruct him on how to prepare it by grinding it into a powder, which can then be sprinkled slowly. He tries it out but is not happy with the results. You next try a plant with the essence of the Volcano. Again, he prepares it as instructed and applies it cautiously. This time nothing happens at all! He asks you if using the real essence would be better, but when you explain to him that it would require using an extractor, he decides to stick with the method of grinding the herbs in a pestle, as he needs to be able to do it himself. Finally, you try a plant with the essence of the sun. He invites you go with him to throw what he has into the Patacharu at the Takulu monument the next day. When you arrive both Tesha and Malbi are there with Urushu. There is a lovely ceremony in which Urushu petitions the Great Takulu, Maji spirit, to reveal its will and dwell within us. As he applied the ground powder, the flames reacted by shooting high in the sky! Then he tells you that normal they spray aromas to summon the spirits of the Maji and gain their trust. He did not expect this miraculous event! Now, they wonder if it will come back, and he thanks you for helping him find this almost-essence to use as a potential fire starter that can sustain the sacred flame.
