In the basement under the house, I found valuable historical material collected over the years by the late Ethnologist. It seems that Dhalia was studying his notes and conducting her research based on them.

Quest Walkthrough

When you read the journal you find in the basement behind the warded gate, you decide to talk to Urushu about your findings. He tells you that Dhalia was researching the spiral symbol from the time of the Kaoh, as well as the Labyrinth. He explains that the Kukqwa created it to get closer to Takalu, the Guardian. They built ornate chambers that were so beautiful that Takulu liked them so much that she expanded on them and created a maze which would be both a challenge and reward to the faithful. If someone managed to navigate the path and reach her innermost chamber, they would have the privilege of speaking to Takulu! Over time, however, these passages were sealed. He tells you that Dhalia found the entrance to the Labyrinth and entered, and when she came out, she was changed. She did not reveal what happened, but he felt that she lied about it. He knows the ritual which allowed her to safely navigate the maze, but he refuses to share it with you until he finds out that the Guardians themselves had tasked Dhalia, and now you, with this.

Part 1: Navigating the Maze

The first thing you must know is that the ritual The Blessing of Maji will allow you to pass through the curtains of fire in the maze without harm. It lasts for one day only. Once you cast the ritual at the Stone Altar you will need to head to the maze. If you have not already, you will have to clear rubble at the entrance. I would suggest using the ritual: Teleport to Desert and then flying to the entrance to get there as quickly as possible. Once you enter time will stop allowing you the luxury of exploration. There are many items to harvest and loot inside so be sure to have an empty inventory! (Map of the Maze: by @Shadowbane)

Part 2: The Maze Quest

Once you enter the maze and have gathered all your loot and collected your Golden Paffti collection statue the quest continues! In the large chamber approach the altar and Takulu will speak to you. There will be a cutscene in which you are told to bring the tears, and you are given the ritual: Volcano Awakening. The upper and lower entrances to the volcano are now open and you can come and go freely without having to use the maze. Return home and grab all the materials you need to cast the ritual AND an Anti-Demon Amulet. Return to the volcano, using one of the newly opened entrances and cast the ritual. Another cutscene will occur which shows you where to go for your next step in the quest, the ancient cistern building.

Part 3: The Ancient Cistern Building

When you enter the ancient cistern building there are several levels to navigate. On the entry level you can take a photo of the final Khaoglyph needed for The History of Kaoh as well as pick up four Live Light potions. When you go down one level you can collect a spinel from under the stairs. Directly visible coming down from the stairs there is another Live Light potion. On the same level there is a Diamond: follow the plank around the Spinel until you come to a wall with a piece leading up and the wall destroyed and look behind it. You will see crisscrossing gutters. On one of those gutters, you will find another Golden Paffti collection statue, and a Live Light Potion. Continuing downward, there are three honey on a ledge well hidden behind a piece of these stone gutters. When you reach the bottom floor, you will encounter quicksand! Use the protruding platforms to hop your way around to the shielded chest in the corner, picking up the final Live Light Potion on your way. If you fall in, you will have to return to the foot of the stairs to get out of the quicksand. To breach the shield, you have to be wearing the Anti-Demon Amulet. When you have it on you can pass through the purple bubble of magic and access the chest. You will get your first Tear of Ishu, the ritual Restore the Balance and immediately be given the quest On par with Gods.
